The Sugar Land Garden Club was founded in 1932 to foster a deeper appreciation and a better understanding of nature's beauty. Our current membership numbers more than 175 individuals from all walks of life. Our monthly meetings are open to the public and anyone with an interest in gardening and nature is encouraged to become a member.
Some of our activities include: Speakers
Monthly speakers present information useful in our horticultural efforts. Also included in the agenda for every meeting is an open forum for gardening Q&A as well as a plant swap.
These annual events provide funds for community service efforts and operation of our club. They also offer a chance to expand our knowledge of plants and landscaping opportunities.
Community Service Projects
Community service projects give us an opportunity to give something back to our community while we work together with other members of our club.
Fieldtrips
Fieldtrips take us to places we may not get around to visiting on our own. We learn about gardening, nature and each other during these outings.
Workshops
Workshops let even the least creative among us make something to be proud of. During our workshops we also get the added benefit of visiting with other members.
